When to deliver a child
Deliver a child before 25
This myth is the most common one among the misconceptions related to the ideal parent age issue. Many believe that the best time to plan a first pregnancy is 18 to 25 years. This opinion is based on the fact that at this age women are less prone to chronic diseases and their endocrine profile (on which a lot depends) is undoubtedly better. However, the figure ‘25’ is not of any great power and a woman's health does not deteriorate after 25 years.
Ladies can safely bear and deliver a child at 25, at 30 years, and even much later -for this she needs to care of her health, never forget to keep a healthy lifestyle and not to neglect health examinations and medical advice
This misconception, like the previous one, is based on the assumption that at young age pregnancy and child delivery are easier than later. Although complications or, vice versa, easy delivery are more related to specifics of every woman's body. As the statistics show, the pregnancy at a young age leads to premature birth. The reason may be a pathologically high uterine tone.
Pregnancy after 30
It is believed that pregnancy after 30 develops with complications; this view as the above ones is just a misconception. There is no direct dependence between the age of a future mother and pregnancy course. Indeed, it cannot be denied that with age the risk of infertility, genetic disorders in conception, and formation of chronic diseases in a mother increases. These factors may adversely affect the course of pregnancy and fetal development. It is important to understand that the gestation pathologies are associated not so much with age as with health of a future mother.
Seasons and conception
A common misconception is the seasonal nature of conception and pregnancy planning. The reasons for this seasonal approach can be very diverse: from availability of fresh fruits and vegetables, air temperature, days with sunny weather, to the impact of the signs of the Zodiac and the lunar calendar. Undoubtedly, for a future mother and her baby such things as sunlight, warm air and fresh vitamins from natural fruits and vegetables are important. But it is important not to forget, that pregnancy lasts 9 months, i.e. 3 seasons - therefore, no matter the season, when conception occurs, sunlight and vitamins will be plenty for all!
Pregnancy after 40
The most common misconception is that child delivery after 40 is too late!!! The most popular explanation of this mistake is as follows: child delivery is a great stress for the body and after 40 a woman has an increased risk of serious diseases and, of course, increased risk of genetic disorders of the fetus. One cannot dispute the fact that with age the risks of all sorts of complications related to additional loads on the woman's body increase. However, it does not mean that pregnancy after 40 will mean complications and wellbeing of women will sure get worse, and the woman will not be able to deliver a healthy child. The doctors, by emphasizing the importance the age of child delivery, just recommend women to adhere to the optimal period. However, this does not mean that child delivery after 40 is out of the question.
Medical practice has thousands of cases when parents well after 40 years experience favorable pregnancy course and deliver healthy children. Of course, it is of high importance. When planning a pregnancy at such age, one shall carefully test and appraise her health just as at any other age.
