Visit of Professor Hakan Yarali
September 4 - our Clinic was visited by Mr. Hakan Yarali, Professor of Hacettepe University, Medical Superintendent of Anatoli INF Center (Ankara, Turkey). We met in a friendly atmosphere to discuss the issues of customized controlled superovulation induction, including in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome with high risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.
At the meeting the lowest possible doses and drug types, advantages and disadvantages of using dual trigger of superovulation induction and luteal support in such patients were considered. The physicians shared their experience in embryo cryotransfer in natural cycles and cycles with hormone replacement therapy combined with various scenarios of hormonal support of luteal phase.
Professor Yarali also told about his own experience of superovulation stimulation in poor response women and about the tactics for management of the patients with history of IFV failures. In their turn, physicians and embryologists of Lifeline Reproduction Center shared their experiences of using frame-by-frame recording of embryo development, which the Professor found of great interest. At the end of the meeting it was agreed to continue our discussion at the annual ESHRE’s Conference scheduled for June 2015 in Lisbon.
Hakan Yarali is the Professor of Hacettepe University and Medical Superintendent of Anatolia INF Center (Ankara, Turkey). After graduation from the University, in 1991-1992 Hakan Yarali completed his internship in Canada at the Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Department of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (Vancouver). Dr. Yarali published over 90 original papers. Dr. Hakan Yarali received several national and international awards including the Turkey’s Most Promising Young Scientist-1998 Award granted by Turkish Scientific and Technical Research Council. Dr. Yarali is the former President of the Turkish Society of Reproductive Medicine (TSRM); presently he is a member of the TSRM’s Executive Committee. He organized several national and international conferences. Dr. Hakan Yarali is the director of Anatli IFV Center, one of the most prestigious IVF centers in Turkey with more than 1800 cycles per year.
